The QAM will have strong background with Project Management and 7-12 Years IT experience, preferably with financial services background. The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for, although not limited to the following: • Assisting in the overseeing of various QA systems projects of an integrated nature. • Developing and managing the overall testing project plans, using MS Project tools, to ensure deadlines are met. • Promoting QA methodology across the project team. • Participating in high level planning sessions and attend QA team meetings as required • Participating in the review and validation of project plans for each iteration. • Communicating results and status of the projects; ensuring adherence to project management and Quality Assurance processes and documentation standards. • Working with Senior Quality Assurance Leads to define and track test scope coverage for the project as well as deliverables of the test effort with project teams. • Project based test planning and management of its execution, progress monitoring and corrections to the plan necessary to achieve project goals. • Managing change in the project test activities resulting from the changes in the project level. • Providing continuous review and recommendations for improvement of processes related to status reporting/dash-boarding and QA. • Advise and assist QA Manager on project status, project risks and their resolutions. • Managing the hand-offs and flow of information, design documents and code between team members at Oaks and off-shore teams • Providing weekly summary of accomplishments, issues and work planned for the next week • Working with Quality Assurance team to insure Track and QA project plans are accurately updated each week The successful candidate would demonstrate: • A willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business and travel requirements • Ability to collaborate effectively with other disciplines including business analysts, technical leads, senior level managers and project managers. • Advanced written and oral communication skills are a must • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward project completion • Ability and desire to work in an iterative development model which emphasizes speed and proactive decision making • Excellent time-management skills and an ability to multi-task or work on multiple projects concurrently • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills • Proven ability to apply situational leadership concepts in a matrix organization. • Familiarity with systems scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of the various members of the team • Proven self-starter with track record of setting goals and delivering results • Three (3) to five (5) years experience managing projects • Demonstrated knowledge of a Project Management tool such as MS Project • Seven (7) to twelve (12) years in Software Development Environment preferred • A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years experience with Quality Center • A minimum of one (1) year experience with Sharepoint • Proven experience and understanding of all phases of the development lifecycle including scoping, design, construction, integration and testing preferred • Investment processing experience preferred Starblazers has been helping businesses in the Philadelphia area for over 15 years source and manage people effectively.
