NC 215 may be the perfect motorcycle road. Running from US64 north to the Blue Ridge Parkway, 215 climbs over 5000ft in 15 miles of curves that range from sweeping to switchbacks. The surface is perfect. Trafic is virtually none. This video is of my wife and I riding two up enjoying this perfect road.

NC 215 up the hill from US 64 to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Much steeper than it looks.
One of the more memorable sections of this excellent and fun motorcycle ride. Curve after curve after curve. This is from the section of road north of the Blue Ridge Parkway. You'll find this road on Map #6 and map "100 Great Motorcycle Rides in the Smoky Mountains".
NC 215 is one of the best motorcycle rides near the Smoky Mountains. It connects to the Blue Ridge Parkway with great sections both north and south. This is from the south section. You'll find this road on Map #6, map 100 Great Motorcycle Rides in the Smoky Mountains, and the unpaved roads maps of the area.
Riding on NC-215 from US-64 to the Blue Ridge Parkway on my '01 Yamaha FZ1. Sorry about the audio.
State Road 215 in the North Carolina mountains just south of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Short video, the camera died and I was too busy steering to notice it.
